I worked with a team of 8 to create a Los Angeles-centric retail experience for the launch of adidas’ 2019 copa boot. Our team works with representatives from adidas Los Angeles, adidas HQ (in Portland), Intermarketing (creative agency) and adidas International HQ (in Germany) to figure out the most impactful way to present our ideas.

 

The Competition:

Of four teams located in key cities all over the world that adidas approached with this prompt, my team won a trip to Germany to present to the adidas HQ (see picture above) on the basis of collaboration and creativity.

 

We were excited to see our experience come to life in downtown LA on Jan 26th!

3D Collage Window Display Concept

I wanted to create 3D collages that formed soccer-related silhouettes using 3D objects such as cleats and soccer balls along with drums, guitars, spraypaint cans, camera lenses and more to bring together aspects of LA, soccer and creativity.

For the first window, I created a silhouette of a COPA which I imagine being the new COPA to display how the shoe ties together different creative materials, technologies and people from all different backgrounds.

For the second window, I wanted to display the COPAs in action by placing them on the silhouette of a life sized soccer player also comprised of 3D creative objects because this player can be anyone with any creative hobby or skill.

Our Final Presentation

My teammate Kingsley and I got the opportunity to present our team's work to representatives from adidas Los Angeles, adidas HQ (in Portland), Intermarketing (creative agency) and adidas International HQ (in Germany).

The Activation

Our activation came to life in Los Angeles on January 26th at Nicky's Sports. It was a hit in the local LA soccer community and was lots of fun to see our ideas brought to life with the help of the design agency Intermarketing.
